First, they have a large and BEAUTIFUL dining room in the back half. I never would have guessed walking by! We'd already had dinner two other places before we stopped in to scope it out, but the menu sounds delicious and we ended up unable to resist a Honey Cake to go. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and answered all the questions we had, offering us a tour while we waited for them to pack up our cake. We will be back to try some of the food on the attached menu, but I imagine it will be as amazing as the hospitality, environment, and dessert! Thank you all, and here's to many great years after this first week! EDIT: Dining room not pictured because I didn't want to photograph the dozen or so customers back there, but it is absolutely charming!

This is the best food experience I've had in Pittsburgh in a while. Firstly, the staff are just SO nice. Genuinely pleasant people who just want you to have a good meal. Secondly, the store front looks small, but the back of restaurant is massive and fancily decorated, but feels comfily homey too. Most importantly, the food was simple and straightforward, but packed with flavor and beautifully presented. And the prices are more than reasonable for what you get. Highly recommend this as your next new restaurant!! Definitely going back myself. Get the raspberry cheesecake dessert!!!

Piyola, a hidden gem nestled in Mt. Lebanon, offers a unique and unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you step through the door, you're transported to the vibrant culture of Uzbekistan. The cozy, elegant ambiance, combined with the attentive service of Husian and Muhammad, sets the stage for a truly special evening. Some of the dishes we tried include: • Samsas: These savory pastries are a must-order. The pumpkin samsa, in particular, is a standout, offering a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors. • Labneh: A creamy and tangy yogurt dip, the labneh is a perfect appetizer. Paired with fresh pita bread, it's a simple yet incredibly satisfying dish. • Butter-Seared Tenderloin: This succulent dish is cooked to perfection. The tenderloin is incredibly tender and juicy, and the addition of labneh to the tomato sauce elevates the flavor profile. • Lagman: A hearty and flavorful noodle soup, the lagman is the perfect comfort food, especially on a cold day. The rich beef broth and tender noodles are simply irresistible. • Desserts: The honey cake and Napoleon are both delicious, but the Napoleon, with its flaky layers of pastry and creamy filling, is the clear winner. The staff we had for the evening was Husian and Muhammad, who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. PS. All food from noodles to the desserts are made in house. Absolutely amazing.

Oh my gosh,where do I even start. Easily one of if not the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. It really blew my mind on how amazing the food was and how well the atmosphere matched up with it! An amazing hidden gem you need to visit in Washington road! The food was delicious and packed with flavor and I highly recommend trying the lamb chops, they were amazing!

The atmosphere is so nice, it feels like you really are visiting Uzbekistan! My server Jack was so professional and attentive, 10/10 service. I got my Mastava in a timely fashion, and the flavor was incredible. Best I’ve ever had! Very nice big portions and definitely worth the price. Highly recommend this spot to all who want to try delicious Uzbek food and a great atmosphere!

Working our way through ethnic restaurants. Glad to try a new one so close to home. Had to try the Plov which was amazing, labneh and samoas were very good. The juvava was great, big dumplings. Very filling. Definitely want to come back to try more.

Everything was delicious! I was so happy to eat beshbarmak in America 🇺🇸 Definitely the best Uzbek restaurant in Pittsburgh. Highly recommend!

Let's start with how beautiful this restaurant is. The design, the presentation are top-level quality. They serve authentic Uzbek food which was absolutely delicious. We tried almost everything on the menu. Every single dish was cooked to perfection. The servers are very attentive. This place is a true gem 💎

This is authentic restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere. Samosas are delicious! Plenty of seating area, attentive service. You can sit in the front and enjoy the street view, or in their back dining room. Everything they serve is fresh and authentic. The restaurant is very clean and is very charming and has a nice character added with posters on the wall and national dresses everyone is wearing.

Definitely a strong recommendation from me. Place is deep once walk in, they have a big room at the back and it’s very nicely designed. Foods are fantastic if lamb noodle and kabab are top quality and very authentic UZ flavor. Dessert is delicious though a bit too sweet. I like their service, more like family style.
